Key selection parameters Starting torque, thermal capacity, short-time overload, dust sealing level, temperature, shaft distance, maintenance space, brake and backstop torque.
Installation and maintenance notes Add dust covers and clean regularly, insulate hot points, shorten grease or oil intervals in dusty areas, and use overload protection on crushing and conveying drives.
Use with caution / not recommended Open or non-dustproof elastomer designs have short life in hot dusty areas; rigid connections are unsuitable where blockage impact is high.
