Overview and Where It Fits
An elastic pin coupling is made of two hubs and a ring of nylon pins that sit in matching holes in both flanges, held by retaining plates. Torque passes through the pins, and the nylon absorbs shock and lets the shafts float axially. There is nothing to lubricate, the two sides are symmetrical, and worn pins are replaced as a set. It suits pumps, fans, conveyors, mixers and general drives that start often or run in both directions. Sizes LX1 to LX14 (old name HL) cover 250 N·m to 180 kN·m. Before we quote, please confirm the power or torque, speed, both shaft diameters and keyways, the bore type and the space available. Looking for steel pins with rubber bushes instead?
